How We Became Neon Noir
From a basement studio to a global creative force — every chapter shaped our voice.
Three designers met at an underground film festival in Berlin. Bonded by a shared obsession with chiaroscuro lighting and synthwave soundtracks, they began collaborating on late-night creative experiments in a Kreuzberg basement.
Neon Noir was officially founded. Our first project — a rebrand for an indie game studio — went viral on design forums. The phone started ringing. We hired two more creatives and moved into a proper studio in Mitte.
With a growing portfolio of tech startups and fashion labels, we opened our New York office. Our campaign for ÆON Labs won a Webby Award and caught the attention of major lifestyle brands.
We expanded into motion design and immersive web experiences. Our team grew to 25 people across Berlin, NYC, and Tokyo. Collaborated with filmmakers and musicians to blur the line between branding and cinema.
Today, Neon Noir is a full-spectrum creative agency known for dark, bold, emotionally charged work. We partner with visionary brands to build worlds, not just identities. The story is still being written.
